How does Online Tutoring & Teaching work?

Our Online Tutoring & Teaching uses the ZOOM platform for a one-on-one or small group interactive, screen sharing, video conferencing experience. You will receive an email invite to join the “meeting” and then will be given “remote control” to interact with a shared document or website. Within this document or website, we can share reading passages, annotate (or write) on the passage, or type/draw words for word study/spelling practice. The opportunities are endless. It truly feels like we’re sitting at the same table!

Who can use Online Tutoring & Teaching?

Any child or young adult can sign up for an hour tutoring or teaching lesson. Lessons are split into two 30-minute sessions. Lessons can be used for reteaching, practice, enrichment, or homework help. Homeschooling groups can also benefit. Let us teach the upcoming lesson!

Is it live?

Yes, tutoring & teaching sessions are live and in real time. Keep this in mind with different time zones and schedules!

What do I need in terms of technology or equipment?

The following devices are supported by ZOOM: Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebooks, iOS and Android. The iPhone/iPad are also supported. An iPhone is not recommended for our tutoring services due to the smaller text size.
